Adriana Apartment Review

After considering all kind of lodging options, we decided that the best option for us would be to rent an apartment in the old town. I was lucky to find Rome Capital Apartments and also I was more than thrilled to see that the Adriana Apartment which is located 2 minutes walk to the Pantheon was available during our stay in Rome.

The apartment is located in an old building, but you have all the comfort of the modern days inside (there are really no new and modern buildings in the Old Town, except maybe a few 5 stars hotels that charge you an arm and a leg for a room per night). To me, this aspect added to the charm of the place. I was thrilled to stay in a building that was few hundred years old and I could just imagine the multitude of people that walked up and down the narrow stairs of the building.

The kitchen has all you need in case you want to cook breakfast or lunch in the room. The bathroom has a tiny shower (no bathtub, but we really did not need it) and a washing machine that I used once since we had really bad weather and some of our clothes got dirty pretty fast. There is no AC in the apartment, but you will have a really hard time finding AC in any apartment located in the Old Town. The apartment does not really have a view, but you will find that in Rome an apartment with a view comes with a price to pay: noise! Most of the buildings that have nice views are either facing busy piazzas or busy boulevards. Personally, I prefer to sacrifice the view for a good night sleep after a long and busy day!

In a nutshell, I could not have picked up a better location for our stay in Rome. Everything was within walking distance from the apartment (the furthest place was Vatican Museum, a very nice 30 min walk), the apartment was very decently priced, very clean and very quiet (a big plus when in Rome!).
The Rome Capital Apartments web site has an up to date calendar of all the apartments they offer for rent and the best thing is that you can book directly through their web site.
They will contact you few hours later by email or by phone (if you give them a phone number) to confirm the reservation and to provide you details on arrival procedures, etc.

If you have questions, the best way to contact them is through Skype (they have a link on their web site for this). This works much better than email since they get lots of emails and you may wait few days before they answer yours.

Unique Qualities: very clean, quiet area and 2 min walk to the Pantheon; lots of restaurants close by; in the heart of the old town and within walking distance to all the attractions.
